A luxury waterfront vineyard lodge was the dream. In reality it took years of
search in new Zealand to find the perfect site that fitted all our criteria of a waterfront location
without a road between us and the sea; fertile sheltered north-facing land; within 2 hours drive of
Auckland and less than 15 kilometres from a town. We found the site, planted the vineyard, built
the lodge, took retirement from our academic lives, and have now enjoyed 12 years of living in our
paradise.
But there comes a time in the tide of life when one has to consider moving on, so reluctantly we are
selling The Point however we will only be moving to the village of Katikati.
