Wonderful weather and so much happening both in Katikati and the Bay of Plenty - concerts, food festivals, market days, open gardens & art exhibitions. In the vineyard the grapes are dpicked and presently bubbling away in barrels. In the winery the 2009 wines are ready for bottling, while on the food front we won the Avocado Cheesecake competition at the 2010 Avofest. Your Holiday Accommodation Your Holiday accommodation is in an up-stair wing of a large eco-designed waterfront lodge and reflects the architect, Bill Allige's love for natural materials being constructed using local river stone and cedar board and batten cladding. In the interior extensive use has been made of Macrocarpa linings and a unique curved sarked ceiling. You have a choice of either the Chardonnay Suite, which is a large studio is reached front its own entrance by a flight of stairs and layout has a king bed, kitchen, dining, lounge and separate bathroom. Or the ground floor Montrose Suite that has a separate lounge, ensuite bathroom and beautiful private courtyards directly off it. Extensive views of the vineyard, harbour and beyond to the ocean, while to the west are the Kaimi and Coromandel ranges.  Courtyards with outdoor dining with market umbrellas and barbecue are at your disposal. 		Dining If your holidays are not about cooking, then dine at The Point Lodge where our Chardonnay Suite longstay guests are welcome.  Regardless of the meal we strive to make every occasion a special occasion. Dinner is always memorable; sampling wines, indulging in fine food and enjoying professional service in a relaxed atmosphere. Our chef is happy to accommodate special meal requests and dietary needs. Cafe meals can be served in the courtyard or on one of the terraces over-looking the sea.  Enjoy homemade pasta dish with our special chicken or beef and a crisp salad and homemade focacia bread and a glass of Pinot Noir. Vineyard The vineyard was planted in 1995 in chardonnay plus several rows of red wine grapes.  Kerry will be pleased to share his passion for wine and winemaking with you, and you are welcome to look round the vineyard and winery. If you would like a barrel tasting then just ask. If you enjoy wine then we would be pleased to offer you our "Wine Lovers 5 course dinner with matching wines" - bookings are required
