KAIMAI MAMAKU FOREST PARK

The ranges that protect the Bay of Plenty from the south west and contribute to our wonderful climate offer great historical and natural attractions for walkers and hikers. They are the southern limit of the mighty Kauris and home to numerous forest birds. Evidence of gold mining and timber milling abound, with the Karangahake Gorge a real attraction. A number of marked walks and trails are in easy reach of The Point Lodge.
